FACTS ABOUT FUEL THEFT
Diesel theft costs each operator an estimated $1,500 per truck, per year.
Usually theft is small scale, but regular, and very often goes unnoticed.
Most fuel is stolen by siphoning from the fuel filler.
Defences such as these are easily breached - just search Google!
Fuel Management Systems (FMS) can record the “when & where” but they don’t stop fuel theft.
The only effective protection is to prevent access to the fuel itself by fitting an Anti Siphon Device (ASD) to each truck.
